Copyright infringement notices
Projects on Telos are private by default. Material reaches third parties only when its author shares it — a shared link or a public comment. If you believe material available through Telos infringes your copyright, notify our designated agent below. We remove or disable the specific material, tell its author why, and terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of repeat infringers, as our Terms of Use provide.

What a notice must contain
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it — for example, the address of the shared link;
- your contact information: name, address, telephone number and e-mail;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
A notice that knowingly misrepresents infringement may make its author liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same agent containing:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material removed and of where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district in which Telos may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who filed the notice.
We forward the counter-notice to whoever filed the notice. The material may be restored in 10 to 14 business days, unless that person tells us they have filed a lawsuit to restrain the infringement.
Outside the United States
Notices under other laws — including Brazilian law — can be sent to the same address. Each is examined case by case, by a person.
